The Campaign for College Opportunity group is working with Assemblymember Carol Liu on new legislation that will renew the master plan for higher education in California.
- that the Fall Convocation needs to be scheduled. His office will work with Student Affairs in determining the student advising schedule to avoid conflicts.
Other Reports

- that new FTE targets for 2006/07 have been set based on the change in graduate full-time units (7490 for HSU).
- that the Delegation of Authority Audit will begin on April 17.

Campus Dialogue on Race
Suggestions for institutionalizing the Campus Dialogue on Race were discussed. President Richmond will contact the committee members.
Staff Recognition Award – Procedure (continuation item)
Lynda Moore and Mary Greta shared a revised routing form with the committee members. Information regarding the process will be included on the President’s web site, once finalized. Following discussion, it was agreed that recipients must exhibit excellence in job performance and that community service would also be taken into consideration when reviewing nominations. In addition, it will be noted that a staff member may not receive the award in consecutive years. The letter will note that nominators may want to notify the employee that they are being nominated (notification of all nominated employees is not part of the process). Lynda suggested that the submission of a portfolio, rather than a single letter as is now done, may be beneficial.
2007 Appropriations Request (continuation item)
Jane Rogers confirmed that three initiatives will be requested: CI-CORE, the CSU Center for International Development, and the California Cooperative Fisheries Research Unit.
The University Executive Committee will discuss other key legislative topics prior to President Richmond’s Washington, D.C. visit.
