Apartments, Residence Halls, Suites…You Have Plenty of Choices
If you decide to live on campus, you can choose from single or double rooms in apartments, suites and residence halls. We are also home to Special Living Communities, which are residence halls organized around a particular interest or theme. Special Living Communities are a great way to meet other students who share your interests.
The Outdoor Adventures and Community Service (OACS), for instance, is a community of students who have a passion for the great outdoors and community service. Likewise, the Art Colony enables aspiring artists to work and live alongside other studio artists and actors. 21 and Over, Women for Change, International Living… In all, there are 13 different Special Living Communities to choose from.
Humboldt State is a campus where students have a say in both their education and on-campus life. The Residential Hall Association is a group of elected student leaders who help make on-campus living fun by managing a variety of activities and events, including on-campus concerts, festivals and weekend movies on the Jolly Giant Common’s movie theater-size screen.
HSU’s Wildlife Museum houses over 14,000 specimens, including 8,200 bird skins, mounts, and skeletal material, and 3,400 bird egg sets and nests.
