The
Need for Attention to Teaching and Classroom Context Two new directions have recently emerged from the Accountability movement. The first new direction is attention to the scope of bargaining in teacher contracts. Under current law, teacher’s organizations are not allowed to negotiate in their local contracts in the area of curriculum (the textbook selection process, the process for selecting a staff developer, the developing of curriculum guides, and so on).
