Media Production provides multiple platforms for conducting video conferencing. Each platform has particular benefits or capabilities making it more appropriate for certain applications. The professional staff at Media Production consults with each faculty client to determine his or her particular needs.
The production facility includes a digital television studio with the ability to provide live or taped programs to the Humboldt community. Digital video editing and computer graphics workstations allow staff to go from original design and shooting, all the way through post production. Student and staff videos have been shown internationally and have received several awards.

There is no charge for any conference that is directly in support of instruction associated with a class that generates FTE's on our campus or when the conference has any HSU students attending it as part of a class assignment. In addition, no charges are associated with any staff or faculty meeting where HSU business is conducted.
* Professional level technical support for operation is available for $30.00 hr. Student level technical support will be billed @ $15.00 hr.Video Conferences using T1 connections: $200.00. This covers all of the set-up and 1 hour of conference time. Each additional hour is billed at $100.00 per hour. Calls originating from HSU will be subject to line charges. Please call for current pricing as well as any bridge fees which might apply. Teleconferences: $75.00. This covers all of the set-up and 1 hour of conference time. Each additional hour is billed at $25.00 per hour.
