Application Process

  1. Complete the Application Form. Be sure that your name is spelled exactly as it is on your passport. Check the starting date of the sessions you wish to attend.
  2. Pay the US $50 application fee. You may pay by visa or mastercard, international money order or check drawn on a U.S. bank. Checks should be payable to HSUF. Add $35 if you would like your admission documents sent by express mail.
  3. Send a bank statement or certification to verify funds. Verify $3,558 for each 8 week session you wish to attend. If you are sponsored, send evidence of your scholarship or bursary.
  4. If you are already in the U.S. and transferring from another school or program, you must send us an IELI Notification of Intent to Transfer which shows that you are in status, and a photocopy of your I-94 and I-20.

Insurance Requirement

All students must have health insurance. You can buy health insurance when you arrive. If you bring your own insurance, it must carry US $50,000 for health and accident; US$10,000 for medical evacuation and US$7,500 for repatriation, and a maximum deductible of $500 per accident or illness.

When you receive your I-20 and letter of admission, you should apply for an F-1 Student Visa at the U.S. Consulate or Embassy.
