Funding Your Education

At Humboldt State University, there are three basic types of financial aid: grants and scholarships, work-study, and loans.

Most students get a "package" that mixes several types of aid.

The Department of Applied Technology offers students an additional and unique opportunity to earn a wage through the Institute of Technology, a student run club.

Positions are also available to qualifying students for teacher's assistantships (TAs). Be sure to inquire with your instructor or our office (JH 101) for more information about these exciting opportunities.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

The Danco Builders Scholarship is available to support the education of undergraduates pursuing a degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction Management. Learn more about the scholarship

The JELD-WEN Foundation Scholarship is available to support the education of undergraduates pursuing a degree in Industrial Technology, especially students from specified communities and surrounding areas in California and Southern Oregon who need financial assistance. The Financial Aid Office has a plan to help you financially for college.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Online applications have a significantly lower error rate and a quicker response time. Submit the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 each year. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Federal Student Aid is an online government resource that answers financial aid questions, including how to repay loans.

The Office of Graduate Studies offers up-to-date information on University student scholarships.

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers-Caterpiller Scholars Award Program offers scholarships for students in technology related areas.
