Preferred Email Address
Individuals at HSU MUST choose a preferred email address where all of their HSU email correspondence will be sent (including billing, class list info, grades, official correspondence, Blackboard, Moodle, and course information, etc). A preferred email address can be any valid email account you choose including your HSU address (example: jqd7001@humboldt.edu) or a non-HSU address such as a yahoo.com account. It must be a valid address that you have activated and have access to. See instructions below.
Campus Email Lists Options
ITS now offers all individuals at HSU the option to choose which automatically distributed university email messages they wish to receive. You will be able to opt out of receiving University Notices and Humboldt State News Online. See instructions below.
Select Your Preferred Email Address and Campus Email List Options
- Log on to the WebReg.
- Enter your HSU ID number in the User ID box.
- Enter your 6 digit PIN. If this is the first time you have accessed this
site, your default PIN is your birth month and year (mm/yyyy). If this is
the case, you will immediately be required to change this PIN
and set up a forgotten PIN question and answer.
If you have previously logged on and changed your PIN but have forgotten it, enter your HSU ID number and choose the Forgot PIN? button. You will be asked to answer your question and supply a new PIN.
In the event you cannot remember the answer to your question, you can choose the Generate PIN button and a NEW PIN will be emailed to you. - After successfully logging in, choose the Email Services link.
- Choose the Update Email Addresses link for either Students or Faculty/Staff.
- Make sure your Preferred Address is set to a valid account that you have access to,
as all mail addressed to your HSU email address will be forwarded to this preferred address.
Note: Your Preferred Address can be any account you choose including a non-HSU account such as a yahoo.com account. - After you finish setting your Preferred Address, choose the Email Services link at the bottom of the page and select the Automatically Distributed Email Options link.
- Select the desired IN/OUT option for each list and choose the Save Changes button.
- When finished, select the Exit link in the upper right corner of the page and then close the browser to ensure security.
