Email :: Filters for SPAM :: MS Outlook 2002

The following instructions will allow you to create filters for your email client which will
automatically move or delete incoming messages with certain characteristics.
These instructions assume you have already set up your Personal Folders for local storage of mail.

From the Tools menu choose Rules Wizard…

Choose New…

Select Move messages based on content then choose Next >

Check the box with specific words in the subject or body and then choose the specific words link.

Type in [SPAM?] and then choose Add

Choose OK

Now choose a location to move the filtered items.
Choose the specified folder link.
It is recommended that you choose your Deleted Items under your Personal Folders as shown below or you
can choose the New… button and make a new folder under your Personal Folders using whatever name you prefer.
If you have not created your Personal Folders you will need to cancel and create them now, then start again
to create your filtering rules.

Choose OK

You can choose Finish here or choose Next > to create another filter rule.
