Email :: Over Quota - Fixing in WebMail

How to remove messages that cannot normally be deleted in WebMail due to being over quota.

1. Log into WebMail. At the top of your screen, click on Options.
2. Click on Folder Preferences. It's the second option down, on the right.

3. The first option you will see under Special Folder Options is Trash Folder. Set this to [Do not use Trash]:

4. Scroll down and click on the Submit button.

5. Click on Index Order. It's the third option down on the left. If you have not set Size as a column, you should see the following:

6. Make sure that Size is selected, and then click on Add. Your display should now look like this:

7. Now click on your INBOX (on the left side of the screen). You will now see the size of your messages in the right hand column:

8. You can now permanently delete your messages -- larger messages will have an M next to their size (for Megabytes). Smaller messages will have a k next to them (for kilobytes). Students are allocated a quota of 10 Megabytes, Faculty and Staff are given 50 Megabytes.
