Account Activation
Your account goes through several phases before it is available at www.humboldt.edu/sitename. Please read about the Account Activation Process.
Logging In
Only Assigned Developers can SFTP to a site. An Owner will NOT be able to SFTP to a site. If you are the owner and need access to a site, you will need to register as a developer and assign yourself to your site.
Your site will NOT have a password associated with the site name. You will login using YOUR HSU User Name and Password. To add files to your site, you will use SFTP or a web publishing program such as Dreamweaver.
SFTP Connection instructions
SFTP Server Address: hsu-web.humboldt.edu
Login with YOUR HSU User Name & Password
Your site(s) will show up as a folder (link).

Check the Use Secure FTP box for secure authentication.
Use YOUR HSU User Name & Password
Adding Developers
You can add multiple developers to your site, but you must have at least one to be able to access the site.
- Login to Account Center (formerly known as WebReg)
- Click the "Account Tools" tab
- Click “Manage Your Other Accounts”
- Click “Manage Web Accounts”
- Click "Assign a Developer"
- Follow the on-screen instructions to search for and assign a developer.
If your developer isn't listed, they likely have not registered or completed the training.
You can invite a person to become a developer by using the "Invite" button, which is available after you do a search.
