A new collection of women's travel writing is in search of true stories from women who have thrown off the cloak of expectations and chosen to travel solo and/or with other women. If you have a personal story, which deals with stepping out of your comfort zone and embarking on your own adventure, we want to hear from you!

We are interested in stories that show how women travelers overcame risks, fears, stereotypes, or sacrifices involved with travel. Essays from both seasoned and first time travelers, whether across your country or around the world, are welcome.

Submissions must be in English, around 1200 words in length, and are accepted via email and post. Email your submission to womentravel@gmail.com with the essay in the body of the email. (We will not accept text attachments.)  If you would like to submit a photo or artwork that compliments your story please submit it with your essay. All images must be attached in jpeg format. Please include your name, address, phone number, email (if applicable), and a short (less than 250 word) biography with your entry. All entries/photos/artwork chosen for our printed collection will receive a one-time payment to be determined after publication. Entries/photos/artwork chosen for on-line publication will receive name credits only. By submitting your stories, names, photos or artwork you are giving us permission to use them in print or on-line at our discretion according to the above conditions.
