Making your Course Available to Students

When Moodle courses are created, the default setting makes them available to students. If you want to use your Moodle course but don't have much time, we recommend you send us your syllabus and any other files you would like posted (handouts are popular) and we will post them for you. If you just don't want to use your Moodle sites, you can hide them from your students and hide them from your My Moodle screen by following the steps below.

To hide your courses from students:

• On the My Moodle page (the first page you come to after logging in), click the "Show/Hide courses link in the Course Wizard block.
• Check the box next to courses that you would like to be visible to students and yourself in the My Courses list and click the Set Course Visibility button.

  To hide courses, un-check the box next to their names and click the Set Course Visibility button.

  To show hidden courses, check the box next to the course name and click the Set Course Visibility button. If a course is hidden, students will not be able to access it.
