Medical Issues

A large established medical system has developed around diagnosis, treating, controlling and monitoring transsexuals.  These can at times become a major part of our lives. Trans people face many medical issues. Common medical issues faced by trans people are denial of medical treatment,  ridicule and mistreatment by providers, inability to obtain ongoing, routine medical care, inability to obtain or pay for hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery and the exclusion of transition-related services under Medicaid, Medicare, and private health insurance to name a few.
