Here's my two cents.
It's great that Dr. Richmond replied. It speaks well that he did not dismiss us, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Three of the four goals he pointed out in his ignaguration addres are: to "be student-centered," to "promote diversity of people and perspectives" and "be a role model for community involvement." Lets face it, when it comes to trans people Humboldt State has struck out on all three.
I really hope Dr. Richmond is different. We will know Dr. Richmond is serious when he doesn't just talk about change but does something about it. The test is not how many time we have sat down to talk about it, but what is being done about it.
