| Karen
Davy is a lecturer in the music department, teaching Chamber Music,
and Beginning Strings, and conducting the Intermediate Orchestra. Since
coming to California in 1998 she has performed with the Humboldt and
Eureka Symphonies, Symphony of the Redwoods, and North State Symphony,
and She holds a BM in Violin Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and a MS in Music Education from Queens College, CUNY. Other graduate work includes study at the Vienna Hochschule of Music and extensive work with Kato Havas in London and Oxford. Before coming to
Humboldt, Karen taught strings in the Poughkeepsie City and Uniondale
Free School Districts, and performed in numerous “highway philharmonics”
of the Greater New York and upstate areas. |
