| NICHOLAS LAMBSON is an active performer, teacher and scholar of the guitar. He has performed and taught throughout California and has written articles on guitar pedagogy and guitar technique.
Nicholas Lambson has recently
completed his Masters degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music
under David Tanenbaum and Dusan Bogdanovic with scholarship. As the
Guitar Department Teaching Assistant to David Tanenbaum, he conducted
collegiate guitar ensemble rehearsals, set up department recitals and
master classes, served as the department liaison while Mr. Tanenbaum
was touring and was responsible for several other logistical aspects
of the department’s business. Nicholas Lambson holds Bachelor degrees in Guitar Performance and Recording Arts with Honors from Cal State San Bernardino where he studied under Stuart Green. He has been recipient of numerous academic and musical awards while in attendance including the Performer and Scholar of the Year Awards, was elected to speak during commencement activities on the music department’s behalf in 2004, participated in the University Honors program, and is a member of several national academic honor societies. Nicholas Lambson has participated in several master classes for notable performers including Scott Tennant, Lily Afshar, Antigoni Goni and the Katona Twins and has also taken lessons from Bill Kanengeiser and Jack Sanders.
As a testament to his diversity,
Nicholas Lambson also attained a minor in English while studying abroad
in Hull, England. His Recording Arts degree has manifested through electronic
music compositions and professional recording sessions where Nicholas
Lambson served as producer and studio engineer. Furthermore, Nicholas
Lambson’s lifelong love of art led him to an internship at the
Art Institute of Phoenix, and invitations to study at the Academy of
Art, San Francisco under scholarship. However, the young artist chose
to explore other academic avenues until finally committing his efforts
to the guitar. |
