General Music

The general option provides a liberal arts view of music with guided electives designed to provide a broad view of music.

No audition is required for entrance to the General Option

Five semesters of group or individual applied instruction chosen from 220-237 (420-437 by advisement). Students may substitute 108,109, 355, 357 by advisement, 5 units

Two semesters of ensemble participation 106/406, 107/407, 2 units
(Pianists may take Mus. 353 Accompanying for one semester)
