Vocal Performance
The performance option focuses on a high level of skill in voice, piano, guitar or orchestral instruments with an emphasis on individual and ensemble performance.
An audition is required for entrance to the Performance Option. Applications are available in the Music Office.
MUS 221 Voice Instruction (studio), 4 units (1 per semester)
MUS 421 Advanced Voice (studio), 4 units (1 per semester)
MUS 406/407 Performance Ensemble, 2 units (1 per semester)
MUS 385V Performance Seminar, 4 units (1 per semester)
MUS 356 Lyric Diction, 2 units
MUS 334 Fundamentals of Conducting, 2 units
Option Units: 18 + Core Units: 29 = Total Major Units: 47
All performance majors must perform a Senior Recital.
