Dune Ecosystem Restoration Team (DERT)

Human introduced invasive, non-native plants disrupt the balance of dune ecosystems by stabilizing moving sand and crowding out native plants. By removing invasive plants, we enable native plants to reclaim the sand and set the stage for a healthy dune ecosystem.

Humboldt Fish Action Council (HFAC)

The Humboldt Fish Action was originally formed in April of 1969, as a salmon and steelhead advisory group by representatives of local civic organizations, sport and commercial fishermen and members of the business community. Since the beginning, the Council has been dedicated to restoring and enhancing the salmon populations existing in the tributaries of Humboldt Bay. The Council provides ample opportunity for community involvement with fish trapping, monitoring, marking of chinook fry and other restoration efforts.
