UPDATE! A Public Preview of the Waterfront Tour is now available... This slideshow will take visitors on a visual tour of Eureka's Waterfront Trail. This conceptual trail would run along the bay waterfront, from the Eureka Slough in the north-east through Old Town, past the Small Boat Basin, then south through the Palco Marsh, down to Truesdale Vista, and end at the Elk River slough and peninsula in the south-west. At each end this waterfront trail would connect with the Gulch trail system, providing access to the city's residencial core and various city parks, such as Cooper Gulch and Sequoia Park. Such a trail system would promote increased visitation of Old Town and connect tour routes through the city, art galleries, the Adorni Center, and the Blue Ox Millwork, among other attractions. |
