ATRA is advocating the establishment of our own Waterfront Trail as part of the larger Humboldt Bay Trails Network. We would also like to see a trail system in the gulches. Additionally, the City's bike route system needs to be updated.

ATRA created and maintains the Arcata & Mad River Transit System online schedule information. After all, we do make it out of town every now and then! Further transit information can be found in ATRA's Resource Library under Humboldt County Transit Systems.

ATRA has also made available in a browseable format the Humboldt County Trails Plan. The Trails Plan, circa 1979, outlines hiking, equestrian, and cycling "trails" throughout the county. Amazingly this plan is now part of the Humboldt County General Plan.

Group members are involved in the Friends of the Palco Marsh and creating a bicycle route map of the Humboldt Bay region (to be published this fall).
