The Carson Mansion
Just off the Waterfront Trail at L street, trail users
will find the Carson Mansion on their left and Eureka's wonderful
brickwork pavement leading into Old Town on their right. L street
also provides access to the Humboldt County Main Library.
Built by timber baron William Carson in the 1880s to keep
his lumber mills busy during lax periods, the ornamented Carson Mansion
is one of the best known landmarks on the Northcoast.
Nearby, the Pink Lady provides another wonderful example
of Eureka's Victorian architecture.
