Woodley Island Marina
All along Eureka's waterfront many views are to be had of Woodley Island Marina. The Waterfront Trail will capture some of the most impressive of these.
This section of the Waterfront Trail, just west of the Adorni Center, is in place. From this location one can see the Marina across the water, the Samoa Bridge up the channel (north-east), and the Carson Mansion in the south-east.
Currently Waterfront Drive (not to be confused with the Waterfront Trail) ends at this location, just west of the Adorni Center. Future plans by the City call for Waterfront Drive to be connected through to First street in Old Town, some two and a half blocks away.
The Waterfront Trail should be expanded along with Waterfront Drive, providing a direct link from Old Town to this section of Eureka.
In multiple public meetings and hearings Eureka's citizens have called for additional greenspace along the waterfront. Future developments here should incorporate this request into their plans.
