The Small Boat Basin
Eureka's Small Boat Basin is currently undergoing a one year renovation project.This project will modernize the berthing facilities and provide an administrative building. The Warfinger's Building is also planned for this area.
Currently sidewalks here are very narrow (3ft / 1m) in this area and need to be greatly improved. Although not ideal, traveling from C street and the end of the Boardwalk is workable, but there is no clear travelway through the Boat Basin parking lot, and travel further south is problematic due to especially narrow sidewalks.
On the southern end of the Boat Basin, Bayview Lane might connect into Waterfront Drive. A Waterfront Trial alternate should be fully developed along this route, but the main through-route should follow along Waterfront Drive.
