Truesdale Vista
Continuing southwards we come to the Truesdale Vista. Public
parking facilities exist here along the shoreline. The area is popular
for watching the sunset, as well as for walking pets. (Look closely at
the slide.)
The Elk River spit is visible to the south-west and the
mudflats between the Vista and the spit are often covered by clammers
during low tide.
Access to Fort Humboldt State Historic Park is available
by following Truesdale Avenue east across Broadway to McCullens Avenue.
At the same time Truesdale Avenue provides access to the Waterfront Trail
from the Bayshore Inn.
