View over to the Samoa Peninsula
Just south of the Elk River's mouth, we have this view over to the Samoa Peninsula and the former Coast Guard Station.
Being less than 1/2 a mile across from us, this stretch of water is one of the narrowest locations on Humboldt Bay.
Continuing south we find ourselves in the City's massive Elk River Wildlife Area.
