Humboldt Online Catalog Search

This catalog search examines two information sources:

  • the on-line University Catalog, maintained by Graphics Services, containing program descriptions and course requirements;
  • the Banner data base, containing co-requisites, pre-requisites, and equivalent courses.

Departments are expected to use this search tool before submitting curriculum changes in order to determine the impact of their changes on other courses, programs, or enrollments. This Web page must be printed, signed at the bottom, and attached to the associated curriculum change form after the indicated consultation has occurred.

This search must be performed for the following types of changes:

  • course numbers
  • course subjects/prefixs (e.g. JN to JMC)
  • substantial course title or course description changes
  • unit values/grade modes
  • addition or removal of lab or activity (mode change)
  • prerequisites/correquisites
  • course suspensions/reactivations/deletions
A department chair signature on the printout of the search results indicates that other departments with programs/courses/enrollments affected by this change have been informed and afforded the opportunity to respond.
