Deployment of Naval Combat Forces in the Pacific Basin
Peoples Liberation (Army) Navy Destroyer,112 Haribing
Throughout the Pacific Basin, Naval Forces are deployed to protect and further the foreign policy of nations in the Pacific Basin. These forces are deployed using ships that come in a wide range of sizes and capabilites. Many Nations continue to update and expand their navies to meet the perceived threat posed by the ever-growing Chinese navy and the partial withdrawl of U.S. Navy Forces from the region. Some of the sites contain Fast Attack Craft. These are not true "blue-water" ships, but they carry Ship-to-Ship Missles(SSM) like the Exocet which pack a powerful punch.
This site is designed to display a general deployment of major combat ships in the Pacific Basin. Each nation will display the type of ship, the name, the number, and the homeport. Some of the names will be highlighted designating those with pictures.

Even after suffering a tremendous defeat after World War II, Japan has seen the need to maintain a navy on the par of excellence of the United States Navy, ready and able to deal with any unforseen event. The Navy continues to grow in response to the growing threat of Mainland China and the reduction of U.S. military presence in the region.
