Jessie Burns (Walkner) (M.A. 05, School Psychology) Little Owen turned a year old in September! He's walking and talking now and
showing signs of being a redhead. Riley is in 6th grade and Kelly is in 5th. Jessie is working full time as the school psychologist at Zane
Middle School in Eureka. She bought a house in Sunny Brae and has been working on it, camping, and savoring time off from work.
Morgan Davis (M.A. 05, School Psychology) is a cook at Gabriella Cafe,
www.gabriellacafe.com which is a fine dining Italian style restaurant.
Jolene Farmer (Rothrauff) (M.A. 04, School Psychology) "We will be adding a new addition to the Farmer family around Thanksgiving of this
year and couldn't be more excited. This is her third year in Calvert County, Maryland, working with students who have emotional and
behavioral challenges and still enjoys her job. Honest! Aloha to all my fellow HSU grads and the professors!
Teresa Gauthier (M.A. 05, Counseling) was hired in March 2006 by Humboldt County as a Mental Health Clinician to work in the
Public Health Branch with the North Coast AIDS Project (NorCAP). She works 4 days a week and provides counseling services for
clients who are HIV positive. She works with a great group of people at NorCAP. I find it to be a very rich and rewarding internship experience!
Elyssa Luria (Childress) (M.A. 04, School Psychology) just celebrated 2 years of marriage in July in their new home in Santa Maria,
California. Elyssa is beginning her fourth year at Santa Maria Bonita School District. Meghan MacMillan (2008) just joined our district as
our new intern. Elyssa is delighted to be working with another Lumberjack. They miss Humboldt very much and look forward to hearing from HSU
friends. The 2004 cohort try to meet annually in the Bay area at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit Concert. If you are interested in attending,

Jacqueline Marvel (M.A., 04, School Psychology, N.C.S.P.) is beginning her third year in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District in
San Francisco's greater east bay area. She works at three high schools and is co-president of the Mt. Diablo's school psychologist's union.
Jessica J. Miguel (M.A.05, Counseling) is working as a Child, Youth and Family Advocate at Environmental Alternatives Foster
Family Agency and accumulating MFTI hours. Foster Parents are greatly needed!!!!!! Call her if you have even an inkling of interest,

Jessica Ocoboc (M.A. 03, School Counseling) (her daughter, Eloise is 2 years old) bought a house and has been hired to work at
two schools through the Anaheim City Elementary School District. She will be sitting for the BCBA exam in spring.
Jessica Pickens (M.A. 04, School Psychology) is working in Middletown Unified School District (just outside Napa County) with
Jill Gansz (also HSU alumni). She loves the district and is fitting in well there. I am currently in the midst of the FBI hiring
process. I've passed the first phase of their many multi-phase process and am waiting to hear about Phase II.
Breanne Porter (M.A. 06, Academic Research) is in a Ph.D. program in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Florida State University.
Michael Porter (M.A. 06, Academic Research) is teaching psychology at Tallahassee Community College and is continuing to
work for Drs. Guy Alain Amoussou and Steve Steinberg of HSU on a project involving creativity in computer science curricula.
Colleen Pucillo-Stout (M.A. 03, School Psychology) lives with her husband, Nick, in Chugiak, AK, near Anchorage. She is
working as a school psychologist with the Anchorage School District (ASD) in Anchorage, Alaska. ASD is a large district of roughly
50,000 students. For a district of this size, ASD has a relatively progressive philosophy surrounding special education and the
role of the school psychologist in the educational setting. During the 2005-2006 school year, she had the privilege of supervising
a school psych intern from HSU....great experience! We're always looking for well-trained school psychologists in Anchorage
it's
a great place to work and live!"
Joanna Rocco (B.A.00, M.A. 07, Counseling) married Jonas Levine and has recently been hired by Remi Vista in Crescent City
as an MFT intern. She will be working in an intensive day program for emotionally disturbed kids ages 6-12 as well as providing
group and individual therapy.
Nate Weinstein (M.A. 05, Counseling) is in his second year of internship with Humboldt Family Service Center.
Kristin Yoshimoto (M.A. 03, School Psychology) has been in Carlsbad, CA, just north of San Diego, for the past three years
and loves it there! She works as a school psychologist for the San Dieguito Union High School District and is also on the board
of a nonprofit theater company in San Diego.
