A Physicist's Guide to Mathematica

My book is compatible with Version 3.  The current version (Version 4) differs from Version 3 mainly in the speed of numerical computation.  This difference does not necessitate any modification of my book.  Except for some minor changes, Section 2.2.15 Fourier Transforms is the only section in my book that requires significant revision, as the Mathematica functions for Fourier transforms and generalized functions are now built-in functions rather than functions from a standard add-on package (as in Version 3).

To obtain the updated Section 2.2.15,
 

1. Click here, save or download the file PTStyle_2_2.nb, open it with Mathematica Version 4.0, save the file, and put the Mathematica notebook named PTStyle_2_2.nb in the StyleSheets folder (or directory) of the FrontEnd folder of the SystemFiles folder of the Mathematica 4.0 folder.  (In MS Windows, file extensions such as ".nb" by default are not displayed on screen.)
2. Click here, save or download the file Section2_2_15.nb, open it with Mathematica Version 4, and save the file.
