January 1996 to Present

Director, Center for the Support of Instructional Technology, Humboldt State University, Arcata, CA.

The Center comprises of: Courseware Development Center, Faculty Development Lab, Distance Learning, Media Distribution, Media Production, Media Repair, and Academic Computing.

  • Developed and implemented a proposal for creating a Center for Instructional Technology to consolidate technology-mediated service providers on the Campus.
  • Provided technology-mediated services for the web courses for over 400 faculty members
  • Developed instructional materials for the web for over 200 courses and created over 25 web-based courses using all types of cutting-edge technology including streaming audio and video.
  • Provided facilities and expertise to broadcast live (audio and video) course materials on the Internet.
  • Implemented the Point of Origin Project to deliver instructional materials on the local cable for the surrounding communities.
  • Collaborated in the Imaging Project to provide a means of electronically scanning, storing, and retrieving images for classroom instructions and use on the World Wide Web.
  • Placed the media catalog on the Web with browse and search capability.
  • Wrote successful grant proposals to upgrade the audiovisual equipment in over 85% of the classrooms.
  • Wrote successful grant proposals to created smart classrooms.
  • Broadcasted live audio and video of the classroom instruction, the commencement ceremony, and the sport championship on the Internet.

Media Services Coordinator, North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, Colorado. The medical center is a 306-bed facility comprised of over 1300 physicians, nurses, and staff. It offers wide varieties of educational programs.

  • Developed several promotional brochures for North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley CO. The design for the brochures won the First Place award, Colorado Hospital Association, 1984.
  • Created two promotional video programs for the American Hospital Association Day, March, 1984, Greeley, CO. The programs were broadcasted locally.
  • Developed a multi-image slide-tape presentation, "Family Recovery Center," Greeley, CO. May, 1984.
  • Created a slide-tape presentation, "Child-Burn Care," Greeley, CO. Sep. 1983.
