Redwood Advanced Leadership Institute
(RALI)
The goal of RALI is to build a cadre of teachers who
are willing and able to take on math leadership roles in their local
school/district and with the Redwood Area Math Project. Participants
will strengthen their understanding of Probability, Statistics and Data
Analysis while building leadership skills such as peer coaching, modeling
lessons, orgnizing events, and presenting workshops.
This Institute begins every other academic year - 2003-04,
2005-2006, etc.

Who may attend:
All who have attended a Mathematics Leadership Institute
of the California Mathematics Project are eligible to attend.
Stipend:
$1500 and instructional materials.
Participant Responsibilities:
- Participants must attend all institute meetings
- Participants must provide at least five days of
math leadership responsibilities. Examples:
- present at CMCN or Asilomar Math Conference
- present at School site/district
- serve as Grade Level Leader for RAMP Mathematics
Leadership Institute
- organize math event
- set up contractual in-services for RAMP
- do contractual in-services for RAMP
- serve as an officer for CMCN
- take on a Co-Director role for RAMP
- submit article for Infinity and/or Communicator
newsletters
- individual proposals will be considered
District/School Commiment:
Willingness to release participant for school year follow-ups (four
Fridays)
