m) UC Board of Directors- No meeting!
n) Alcohol and other drug- No report.
o) SHAC (NO)-
p) Rec Center- PART ONE: New gym June 2008. Janine thinks that’s a lie. Old gym will only be used for clubs and events. Drafting a budget for March 13th, getting a tour of the Rec Center, fees and projects (lots), we pay an SRE fee and people over 60 do not and the president’s rep wants to get rid of that. TO BE CONTINUED.
q) Elections Commissioner- Applications are online at Humboldt.edu/~rha/elections Descriptions of the positions are available. Let councils know so people apply! Publicity is going out soon (glossy and colour and sexy). Will elections committee be in charge of selecting an AS RHA rep? Problem could be that if the person doesn’t get a slot in housing, perhaps set aside a slot? Need to make sure next year’s AS meeting times are known.
r) Dining Committee- Have reps from the different dining areas that are going to Food Cons to look into nom noms. New webpage is Humboldt.edu/~bagel Meal plans in plan for new housing areas next year. Working on signage and nutritional coding in the power point slides. t) Advisors- OPS, LGA, and AC letters are going out this Friday. OH GOD. SUSPENSE. Bribe Jannah for mail early. JK. Or am I? Leti is going to Boston with Nick. Where they will not need hair dye.
IX) Old Business
a) RHA Programs Triathlon- What date? Needs to be before RHA Week. Maybe make it a one day thing? Maybe do it on a Tuesday after RHA Week, before Dead Week. The 5th! Who is in charge of trivia? Nick! Who is in charge of dance off? Leti, Porchee, and Ian! Who is in charge of unspecified sport? Volleyball, dodgeball, flag football, Frisbee, ping-pong, basketball. Put to a vote to decide sport. BB: 1, PP: 0, VB: 6, FF: 6, Fris: 0, DB: 3. Now between Volleyball and Flagfootball. VB: 8 FF: 11. Flag football wins. Will allocate money for it next week. Heather in charge of football. Teams based on councils? Move it to next week. First ROBOT, second ME! 12 for, 0 against, 2 abstain.
• RHA week—April 5-13th
• RHA bingo April 6th Janine did much research for RHA Bingo. Planning to do it on the 5th of April to kick it off. Sisters of Perpetual Indulgance to be the callers. Get bigger prizes. Could take canned food in exchange for cards. Budget of $820-1400. $300-800 for bike, complete skateboard 100-150, scooter 70-100, food for 200 dollars, will use mocktails to save money, get finger food, and $75 for bingo supplies. Input on budget? Maybe get iPod shuffle or camera or something so it’s not all action items, possibly replace skateboard? Go for the full amount! We have about $3000 left, so we’d have about half of the remaining budget left. How many other prizes? Lot of bingo games, different levels of difficulty of winning with expensive of items. Heather can get some Bingo Game ideas. 4 GB iPod nano, nice digital camera, and a Nintendo DS. Lower the price of some of the prizes to afford more prizes. $2880 left in the budget according to Porchee. Nancy moves to allocate $2000 to RHA Bingo, Lynn seconds. Table the vote to next week. Humboldt sweatshirt or swag maybe? USB drives? WE FREAKING TABLE IT. 13 for, 0 against, 1 abstain
(1) Bigger and better?
• Email rpb@humboldt with 3 day choices and rooms ONLY at rpb!!!
b) UC Board of Directors Rep- Any interest? Charles volunteers! But got shot down! Leti requests to get it taken off. Janine firsts, Canyon seconds. 9 for, 0 against, 1 abstain.
c) Sending something to NIU- Leti found the basket place’s site, $79 for the basket, $18 for shipping. Basket has been decided! Include a card please ^^ Gave Lynn the job. Basket contains: Locally canned Tuna, Fish Brothers Smoked Salmon Jerky, Smokin’ Moses BBQ Sauce, Tomaso’s Extra Garlic Marinara Sauce, Abruzzi Hous Dressing, Larrupin’s Mustard Dill Sauce, Zimmerman’s Red Raspberry Jam, Desserts on Us, Lacey’s Cookies, Sjaak’s Fine Chocolates, and locally roasted coffee. Even more discussion about whether or not this is even appropriate. Even though we’ve already decided on this and allocated money and stuff. Does the Secretary have a bias in these notes? Nah. The longer we take, the less meaning it will have. We’re voting on Said Basket. 11 for, 0 against, 3 abstain. PASSES AGAIN. Lynn will make the card tomorrow. Everyone will sign next time.
X) New Business
a) HEMI thinger??? – Leticia and Kristopher: February was the Energy Competition, end of the competition celebration (including announcement of the winners) is March 10th, 5-10. Raffle at 7pm for a bike. Tell councils!

Need royalty and servers before Spring Break! 9 positions available with guaranteed housing. Alex is requesting guaranteed housing for new councils. NRHH not currently included in Feast and Fest Royalty. Manor has their own royalty. People need to show up to RPB meetings to discuss dietary needs at Feast and Fest while still being appropriate for the time and able to be eaten with the fingers.

ROBOT Minutes 2/20

3 03 2008

ROBOT MINUTES FOR 2/20/08
Mad River Room 8 PM

Side Poll! Eggs vs. Bacon. Delicious non-vegetarian breakfast options for ROBOT to choose from. Eggs were simultaneously identified as “dead baby chicken” and “delicious abortion”, with confusion over which was a pro or which was a con. One definite pro for eggs: Cadbury eggs! Because delicious chocolate and caramel make sense in egg form but not in bacon form. Bacon gets a celebrity endorsement from Kevin Bacon, and I’ve got some note here about the “essence of Bacon” which I’ve probably blocked from my memory*. Bacon is not an ingredient of cake, unlike eggs, which means unless you’re on Iron Chef, you can’t make deserts out of bacon*. Bacon also ruined Charles’s childhood. Sarah thought she had a pro for something but she totally didn’t, not at all. The final tally:
Eggs: 10
Bacon: 30
Wookiee: 34
The lesson? I dunno, Wookiees are delicious? Somehow I doubt this.
*Fun Psychology Fact: This is what we call a defense mechanism!
*Fun Iron Chef Fact: You can always try, but you will lose. Every time.
Fun Side Poll Fact: At some point during the side poll, the Monster Under The Table ate Tonks’ cell phone. Then gave it to Mary, or something, it was kind of hard to follow the process.

Meeting called to order at 8:20 pm.

ROBOT ROLL Call: Tom Servo!

Sound System Requests: None.

BUSINESS:
SECRETARY-BOT 3000 MINUTES COMMENTARY: THE FOOLISH MEATSACK NAMED “Alex” THAT HAS COMPILED THESE MINUTES DOESN’T ACTUALLY KNOW IF THE “BUSINESS” SECTION RELATES TO EITHER THE 2/20 MEETING OR THE 2/27 MEETING. THIS IS PROBABLY DUE TO HIS INFERIOR MEMORY CAPACITY OR HIS EQUALLY INFERIOR HUMAN “FALLIBILITY.” JOIN ME IN MOCKING THIS DREADFULLY INCOMPETENT LIFEFORM FOR HIS FAILURE AT HIS ONE JOB IN LIFE.
1) ROBOT Split
We did it again! Here we go:

FF7 Competiton
Who is bringing what?
TVs: Stephanie, Staci, Micaela (2?), Kelsey, and someone whose name I cant read, but looks like a cross between Fun and Tar
Playstations: Stephanie, Micaela, D2R2, Kelsey and Brit Brit
Memory Cards: Staci (3!), Micaela, Alex
Game: Stephanie, Alex, Corbin and Kelsey

CCAT:
Should we do a tour of the CCAT Sustainability House? Volunteer possibly for 2 hours. We say 11:00 am-1:00 pm, meeting at the bottom floor of the J. I didn’t write down the date for some silly reason*
*SECRETARY-BOT 3000 COMMENTARY: LIKELY DUE TO YOUR FLESHBAG INABILITY TO FOCUS AND THINK ABOUT VIDEO GAMES OR CHARRED ANIMAL FLESH

Madden Tournament:
Originally scheduled on Easter Sunday. Moved to March 24th, changing the name of the program to Monday Night Madden, in March, in Mad River? Alliteration battle ensues.

Cosplay Workshop:
Ran by the Anime Club. Possibly 6:00 pm Tuesday, March 11th?

Anime Club’s March Meetings:
1st: How to Draw A Mecha Workshop
2nd: Guess The Anime Song Competition
3rd: Cosplay Party!

ROBOT’s March Movie Marathon:
More alliteration. Decided to be on March 22nd.

2) BOTS
Ryan arrived! He had data on six different types of BOTS present at Target. I could list them all, but I’m lazy and the only one that matters is the one everyone voted for anyway:
Each BOT is $21, and is a sort of low-to-the-ground sports car. The BOT itself runs on 6 AA’s, while the remote requires a 9 volt. Still only available on two different frequencies, although hopefully with the inclusion of more BOTS, this will be less a problem. Here’s to good wishing!

REPORTS:

Grand Poobah: Made awesome fliers for FF7 Competition and HTML Workshop. Also reminds us that ROBOT’s royalty always belong to the far superior robotic leaders of ROBOT, Fishbot and Squanky the Monquid, but that these two graciously allow two fleshy companions to take their place. Who would we choose? RPB-

General Dogsbody: What’s up? Come to the drag lounge on February 29th. It was (will be) awesome!

Scribe: Nothing

Pimp O’ Cash: Nada

Royal Vizier: Nil

Merger of Awe: See Business above

Epic Alliance: See BOTS stuff above

D2R2: Zip.

Web-tech: Brawl comes out soon

RHA Rep: More debate over the JCypress sliding glass door as well as discussions on Smoking Areas. Campus report suggests moving the smoking areas away from the Hill and Canyon gazebos. RHA disapproves.

RPB Rep: RPB has selected their Prince & Princess. They were Ryan Hall and Leticia Wyatt, though for some reason I wrote: “Prince: Ryan Hall, Princess: Leticia Ryan Hall.” I blame the essence of Bacon.
ROBOT also chose their royalty companions: Ravin Craig and Stephanie Joseph! Woo!

NAKED: J9 is doing a swimming program every Sunday from 12-2 at the campus pool!

Num Num Num Committee: Have suggestions/comments/rants/protestations over the J, Cupboard and possibly the Depot, and want to offer more feedback then what you can fit in a napkin? Come to Num Num Num! 11:30-12:30, on I think Fridays? Honestly, just ask Jannah Banana, she’ll work with your schedule.

No other reports were given.
