<description>Please place my name Jonathan M. Yu on a waiting list for housing on Spring 2010. I hope to be attending Humboldt State University as an exchange student from the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I can also provide documentation for a learning disability and will be asking for help with disability services. If a single-room is available, that is my preference. If not, a double room would be fine. Please send an e-mail to me at cyborgalien95@aim.com or jyu13@unm.edu. Thank you.

					<description>Dear Student Leaders,

Thank you for being an amazing and inspirational leader to others! I am writing to inform you that we are looking for volunteers for the upcoming 19th Annual HSU Leadership Conference. This conference is a valuable, student driven and scholastically focused endeavor of which I am pleased to be this year's student coordinator. This year's conference and keynote theme ask Why Can't We All Get Along?! (Uniting our Campus Community through Multigenerational Communication) and Dr. Pamela Cox-Otto will speak and present workshops on this specific topic. This year's overall conference goals include providing attendees with functional competencies to utilize while working and communicating with various populations, increasing awareness of multigenerational issues in higher education today, and informational experiences for individual and group leadership skill building. The Leadership Conference will be held October 10th &#38; 11th 2008, with a keynote address on Friday October 10th and workshops all day on Saturday the 11th.

Dr. Pamela Cox-Otto is looking forward to coming back to speak and provide workshops at her alma mater for this year's leadership conference. Pam has been teaching, training, writing, and speaking on topics including (but not limited to): web-based interactions, uniting college campuses, leadership and management skill building, marketing, and communication.

Volunteers are a vital and necessary part of putting on any conference on campus! We hope to also provide volunteers with valuable application of leadership skills (including assisting with organization and programming of the conference itself), experience navigating and implementing responsibilities embedded in the operations of a conference (i.e. greeting workshop presenters), and an opportunity to add more content to your personal resume and student leadership skills. You can be enrolled in the conference, or not – a presenter, or not – a student or not, there are no additional requirements to being a volunteer than the want and will to be one (and, of course, letting me know)! Plus, you get a free Leadership Conference T-shirt as a way for us to thank you for your time and energy making the conference an exciting and rewarding experience for all involved!

If you are interested in Volunteering for the Leadership Conference you can also attend the first Volunteers meeting on Tuesday, September 23rd at 5:15 in the South Lounge. If this time doesn't work for you but you would still like to volunteer, please let me know by replying to this email and we will work something out!

Please inform any potential volunteers, presenters, and student leaders you know that this year's Leadership Conference is looking for volunteers and is open for student enrollment through the course, by emailing whycantweallgetalong@gmail.com for a magic number, or through an on campus club by registering with the HSU Clubs &#38; Activities Office (located in the University Center). Please refer to our conference website for any more information, by going to the conference website or clicking here. I look forward to seeing you there! Feel free to contact Alex Fonseca (826-6012) in Student Life or myself with any questions or concerns.

Thank You,

<description>Pretty much just sent this to your facebook group but it doesn't hurt to send it here too. Thanks for reading.

Hi there. My name's Kiki and I represent a group called Taina Asili Y La Banda Rebelde. We're based out of the Albany, NY region and are going on a tour with another group (Broadcast Live) and are thinking of passing through your area. We were wondering as a school group that sets up events if you would be interested in putting on a concert event involving us on the night of Friday Nov 7th, 2008. We're an Afro-cuba hip hop group and Broadcast Live is more of a rock/hip hop group. Both are pretty politically based.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in please contact me as soon as you're available. Best way is through email: abkproductions@gmail.com

To get a listen of both groups here are some links:

www.tainaasili.com
www.myspace.com/broadcastlive

Thanks in advance for taking the time our to read this. Hope to hear from you soon!
