The Young Writers Conference

Our May 24th conference offers young writers grades 4-9 a variety of workshops from poetry to plays, anime to adventure.  This year, we enter the digital age, offering an online anthology that can also be purchased as a professional hard- or soft-cover book.  Follow this link to learn more.

 

 

Invitational Summer Institute 2008

This summer, we are delighted to announce, we will be offering two ISIs: one in Humboldt County and one in Mendocino County.


Humboldt County ISI Dates:

Information Session: February 7, 4:30-6:30, Humboldt Area Foundation

Application Deadline: April 11

Spring Conference: April 26, 8:00-3:30, HSU Campus

Orientation: May 30-31, 8:00-4:00

Intensive: June 23-25, 8:00-4:00

Summer Institute: July 7-18, 9:00-3:00

Mendocino County ISI Dates:

Priority Application Deadline: April 4 (materials received after this date will be considered on a space-available basis)

Orientation: May 3, 9:00-3:30

One-Week Kick-off: June 16-20, 8:30-4:00

Two-Week Institute: July 28 through August 8, 8:30-4:00

Advanced Technology Institute 2008

The Young Writers Academy

Young writers entering grades 4-9 in the fall who are interested in writing poetry, plays, songs, and graphic novels are invited to register for our 2008 Young Writers Academy.  To learn more about this one- to four-week event, please follow this link.

 

 

Lost Coast Writers Retreat: Writing on the River
