Student Managed Investment Fund

Student Managed Investment Fund logo The School of Business faculty believes students learn best by doing. A student managed investment fund (SMIF) will enhance the professional education of business students at Humboldt State University by providing business students an opportunity to gain a real world experience in asset management. As a result, they will have an advantage in the job market upon graduation from Humboldt State University.

Students wishing to participate in the SMIF must complete the appropriate form (student board member or analyst) and enroll in a special one or two unit class. Students interested in sitting on the student board will be required to complete a student board member application (PDF). Students interested in becoming student analysts will be required to complete a student analyst application (PDF). The initial SMIF Prospectus (PDF) and By-Laws (PDF) are available for your viewing.
