OTHER PROJECTS

SERC is commited to and involved in various research and development projects geared toward advancing renewable energy in our society. In addition to SERC's real world applications projects, SERC works on various projects in our local community. Projects such as the UNPEPP/RNP, Local Government Work, Yurok PV system, and HSU Campus Energy allow us to work closely and collaborate with our local community and government agencies. SERC also works with national government agencies on the advancement of renewable energy technologies in our society. Projects include a two-year research and development project on advancing proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell design and performance, hydrogen technology and energy curriculum development, and a series of energy audit trainings for high school students.

SERC also maintains our own internally funded projects. We have an on-going PV Research project that has accumulated over 10 years worth of PV data for the Schatz Solar Hydrogen Project in Trinidad, CA. SERC continues the work on PEM Electrolysis due to the exciting results attained from our preliminary research. SERC also had the opportunity this past summer to bring renewable energy to hundreds of thousands of people throughout the United States by touring with the Lollapalooza tour and demonstrating our Stack-in-a-Box® system.

Visit the links above to read about the many ways in which SERC works to bring renewable energy into our lives.
