Environmental Resources Engineering
Environmental Leadership Around the World
This century the world will face major environmental prob-lems such as global warming and water scarcity. Graduates of the Department of Environmental Resources Engineering are inspired leaders who work across the globe to sustain, restore and protect the world’s air, water, land and energy resources. You can be one of them!
Our students study closely with faculty to devise solutions in the laboratory or in the field. Past student projects include designing a solar energy system for Redwood National Park; engineering fish-friendly ladders and culverts on California salmon and steelhead streams; and developing a cost-effective road removal plan for a sensitive watershed. As a graduate of our program, you’ll join a rewarding profession that grows larger and more important each year.
