In the Sociology department at Humboldt State University, we know that there is no substitute for real world experience. Practical fieldwork is an essential component of your sociological education at Humboldt State. With faculty mentoring, both our undergraduate and graduate students are actively involved in their community -- applying what they’ve learned in all sorts of venues; including research institutes, government agencies and non-profits.
