Course Objectives
- Students will be exposed to multidisciplinary creative tools.
- Students will practice being creative.

Day 1 Objectives
- Students and Faculty introduce themselves to each other.
- Expectations of the course are clearly defined in collaboration with class.
- Students will reflect on the benefits and challenges of teamwork.
- Students will engage in an unstructured design activity.
- Students will begin to develop a creative attitude.
Day 2 Objectives
- Students will learn the elements of design.
- Students will develop and take ownership of their definition of design.
- Students will practice being creative.
- Students will engage in a structured design activity.
Day 3 Objectives
- Students will present their design ideas verbally to their peers.
- Students will practice creative thinking.
- Students will practice teamwork communication skills.
- Students will learn about tools for brainstorming ideas.
- Students will practice the design components of generating alternative solutions and choosing between alternatives.
- Students will practice written communication of design ideas.
Day 4 Objectives
- Students will learn the difference between constraints and criteria.
- Students will learn a formalized method for choosing alternatives.
- Students will practice verbal communication skills.
- Students will learn teamwork skills related to running and organizing meetings.
Day 5 Objectives
- Students will practice thinking creatively.
- Students will learn about "functional fixedness" and the relationship to design.
- Students will work in a team on a design problem.
Day 6 Objectives
- Students will practice teamwork skills in the context of design.
- Students will practice redesign.
- Students will experience the concept of "functional fixedness."
Day 7 Objectives
- Students will practice verbal communication of their design.
- Students will discuss and reflect upon ethics issues in design.
Day 8 Objectives
- Students will hear about design from multiple perspectives.
- Students will practice asking questions and panel discussion.
Day 9 Objectives
- Students and Faculty will work together to decide the most beneficial use of the time during this session.
- Students will practice taking responsibility for their own learning.
Day 10 Objectives
