WelcomeStudent Affairs IT services (SAITS) provides technical support and web services for the departments within the division of Student Affairs. It is our belief that appropriate technology should not only be leveraged to help staff in their goals to support students, but also to enhance and to improve the services they offer, allowing for a richer student experience at HSU and to assist them in accomplishing their academic goals. DiversityAs a core value of the University and the division, our office seeks out opportunities, not always in regards to technology, to advocate for social justice and equal access for all. One of our goals is to support the campus technical community to create and to maintain accessible student computing labs with regards to persons with disabilities. We also support, offer and participate in a variety of staff in-service training with regards to ending racism, personal identity development, and facilitating on-going social justice dialogue. RetentionThe fast and immediate solution to technical and web problems helps insure that students have a positive experience outside the classroom. We are always looking on ways to improve services and to make students' needs more accessible be it from creating computer labs which are more stable to centralizing web pages to make information and student resources easier to find and use. Professional DevelopmentOur staff work hard to stay up-to-date and aware of the technological options available now on-campus and on the horizon. We continuously train ourselves to stay current, from emerging programming technologies to new server and student service technologies.
