ITS :: Systems Status

What's Up and What's Not

The purpose of Systems Status is to provide customers with information on the current status of HSU central systems.

An archive is available of all advisories and notices since 2/1/2003.

A current listing of Server System Status and Scheduled Maintenance times are now available.

ITS advisory information is also available by Voice Mail at 707 826-LINK (5465), and by contacting the Help Desk at 707 826-HELP (4357) or help@humboldt.edu. To receive an email when new advisories are posted, subscribe to the systat listserve by sending an email to majordomo@redwood.humboldt.edu with subscribe systat in the body of the message.

An information hotline for Humboldt State University campus is available at 707 826-INFO (4636). Call this number for information regarding campus emergencies, building closures and other conditions that may affect the normal operation of the University.

Issue: Wireless Network Security Agent (CSA.exe) not detecting AVG 8.0 as valid anti-virus software.
Service Affected: Users will need to install other Antivirus software to pass security requirements. TNS is working with the vendor to correct this issue.

Network Bulletin UPDATE: Voice are Data services are now up in the Student Rec Center, the Coaches Field House and in the Press Box.

In preparation for demolition area, TNS will have all data down in the Student Rec Center and the Coaches Field House and both Voice and Data down in the Press Box.

Network Bulletin UPDATE: The broken 110 block in the BSS Forum was repaired. The work was completed by 16:30 Wednesday June 25th, 2008. The voice and data connections in the BSS Forum, the BSS Marketplace, and the Wireless access point should all be back in service now.

TNS will be replacing a broken 110 block in the BSS Forum. This will affect all voice and data connections in the BSS Forum, the BSS Marketplace, and the Wireless access point in the BSS Forum. This is estimated to be completed by 8am Wednesday June 25th, 2008. We will send an updated systat when the work is completed.

Network Bulletin UPDATE: The Speed Server / Visual Route Server is back up. Service was restored at 11:35am on Monday June 23, 2008.

The Speed Server / Visual Route Server is currently down. It is being looked and worked on. TNS estimates it to be back up by Wednesday June 25th, 2008.
