Faculty
Our faculty includes nearly 40 professors from disciplines
as varied as ethnic studies, mathematics, government and politics, art,
history, modern languages, social work, English, psychology, theatre arts,
sociology, communication, anthropology, journalism, philosophy, nursing,
religious studies, and education. The Women's Studies program has one
full-time probationary faculty position, the equivalent of approximately
one full-time temporary faculty position, which we are converting to a
second tenure-track position.
W e offer approximately eight Women's Studies courses per semester. In
addition our affiliated faculty teach courses in their primary discipline
which are crosslisted with Women's Studies (and in some cases designed
originally as Women's Studies courses), and they also teach core courses
in Women's Studies, such as WS 107 Women, Culture, History, WS/ES 108
Power/Privilege: Gender, Race, Class, Sex, and one-credit weekend seminars
for Women's Studies.
