| NEWSThe club will be taking the winter break during
December. When we return to the FAll semenster we will be
planning a shoot to get everyone to take those bows out
and shoot a bit. Matt
Hammond won the Big Buck contest for the archery entries,
nice going Matt. 12/9/99 The Humboldt State Archers are a non profit, student run club with a goal of educating and promoting archery and bow hunting to the new generation of American hunters. We believe hunting is something that is a privalage and not a right. Ethical hunting is fundamental to to the protection of the sport we all love. As we all know bowhunting can be viewed as torture by some who do not understand what a well placed broadhead is capable of. It is my opinion that although rifle hunting is more powerful, it is no more potent . There are many riflemen who will try , all to often, a marginal shot. These hunters give us all a bad reputation with the public. It is our responsability to hunt ethicaly. Proper preperation is vital to any hunt. Mental sharpness and a clear head is half the battle. For those of you visiting the site for the first time and are not members, please send comments if you have any. |
