Manuscript on modeling mortality risks

Steve Railsback and Bret Harvey have a manuscript in review on representing mortality risks in complex ecological models. It presents methods for representing how risks such as predation and disease can vary in nonlinear ways with multiple variables of individuals and their habitat, time, weather, etc.  The unpublished manuscript is available here.
