Account Activation/Change Password - Connect directly to the Account Center to activate your HSU User Name and set or change your password

Computer Accounts - All staff must use their HSU User Name and Password to access myHumboldt, which provides single sign-on access to email, PeopleSoft, and other common applications.

Email - Learn about our email system. Set up Outlook, Mac Mail, and other email clients. Synchronize your email and calendar with your SmartPhone.

Information Security - Security issues and policies governing the use of various computing facilities at HSU.

Network Folders - Access your files from anywhere you have an Internet connection.

OBI - search, analyze, and report on information stored in the PeopleSoft Finance and Human Resources databases on a one-off or repeating schedule.

Passwords - Your HSU Password is the key to protecting the data you have access to (including your email and all protected information, including confidential records). Follow these guidelines to choose a strong password.

Policy Documents - It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with HSU's policies for responsible computing, web development, and conditions of use for University computing equipment.

Virus Protection - Computers can easily become infected with viruses and other malware simply by connecting to the Internet as well as by the more traditional means of sharing files, using removable media or drives, or over email. HSU has a campus-wide license for Sophos Antivirus, which should be installed and kept up to date on any computer you use to connect to the University's networks.
