Kinesiology Minor

Kinesiology Minor

A Kinesiology minor consists of a minimum of 18 units of coursework designed around a topic or theme in Kinesiology. Minor contracts are developed in consultation with the Department Chair. Courses with PE, HED, and KINS prefixes may be used.

Minors are available for students preparing for a career in K-12 schools. Some examples include:

  • Teaching physical education
  • Coaching
  • Teaching aquatics
  • Teaching adapted physical education
