Drop-in Science Tutoring
Drop-in Science Tutoring will begin in the second week of classes. Check the information page for specific days, times and courses tutored.
The Writing Center will reopen on Monday, September 8.
Math Tutoring Lab
The Math Tutoring Lab will reopen for the Fall 2014 semester on Wednesday, September 3. In the mean time, math tutoring may be available through Tutorial Services or the Learning Center lab. Please call 707-826-5217 for more information.
Welcome to Humboldt State University's Learning Center. The Learning Center offers a comprehensive program of services to support the academic needs of Humboldt students. These services are for every type of student: from first year to graduate student, from students struggling to stay in school to students trying for straight A's, and from local Humboldt County students to international students.
At the Learning Center, students can get help with difficult courses, study skills, standardized test preparation, reading, math, and writing skills. You can study with a tutor, meet individually with a lab assistant to help keep you on track, and use interactive software programs that strengthen academic and learning skills.

We are closed during all campus holidays and may have reduced hours during breaks.

The Learning Center will become the university's centralized hub that facilitates innovative, creative, and expert learning for both students and our staff. This is achieved through providing collaborative learning opportunities and skill development that allow students and staff to effectively and critically participate in the global-intellectual community.
