Welcome to the Student Support Services Program (SSS) at Cal Poly Humboldt. Our staff is available to help you reach your academic, personal, and career goals, and we take great pride in our ability to deliver our services to you on a personal and individualized basis. Our services are outlined for you throughout our website, and we have included a number of pictures and profiles of our students who are part of our SSS community.
SSS History and Purpose
The Student Support Services program is funded by the U. S. Department of Education and was first established at Cal Poly Humboldt in 1972 for the purpose of improving the retention and graduation rates of low-income and first-generation college students. The SSS program also provides support and encouragement for program students to continue into graduate and professional schools at the postbaccalaureate level. The SSS program provides academic, financial aid, advising, mentoring, and career support services to program students.
