How did you start your business?

The lab had a computer using 8" floppy discs and 16kb RAM. No one else knew how to use it so I figured it out and turned it into a Laboratory Information System. Now writing scifi books (www.h2liftship.com) with trips to Eureka and the Desert, as well as outerspace (we get around).
